Let \(A_k\) and \(B_k\) be trigonometric monomials, let \(a_k\) and \(b_k\) be real numbers, let \(l, p. m. n\) be natural numbers. Consider the family of differential equations \[ \frac{dx}{dt}=\Big(\sum_{k=1}^la_kA_k(t)\Big)x^m + \Big(\sum_{k=1}^p b_k B_k(t)\Big)x^n \tag{1} \] An isolated periodic solution of (1) is called a limit cycle. The family of equations (1) is said to have a nontrivial limit cycle, if to given \(l, p, m, n, A_k, B_k \) there exist real numbers \(a_1, \dots a_l, b_1,\dots, b_p \) such that (1) has a limit cycle not vanishing identically. The goal of the authors is to derive conditions under which (1) has nontrivial limit cycles.
