A multi-index Bessel function is recently considered by \textit{K. S. Nisar} et al. [Springer Proc. Math. Stat. 272, 155--167 (2019; Zbl 1429.33012)]. In this paper, the authors evaluate certain integrals involving this multi-index Bessel function, using the standard technique of changing the order of integral and summation. Images of this function under various classical integral transforms are given. Fractional kinetic equations have been considered by several authors, e.g. \textit{R. K. Saxena} and \textit{S. L. Kalla} [Appl. Math. Comput. 199, No. 2, 504--511 (2008; Zbl 1166.76051)] and \textit{A. Shafee} et al. [Int. J. Appl. Math. 27, No. 5, 437--453 (2014; Zbl 1321.26015)]. The authors obtain a solution of a fractional kinetic equation involving a multi-index Bessel function, using the Sumudu transform [\textit{F. b. M. Belgacem} et al., Math. Probl. Eng. 2003, No. 3, 103--118 (2003; Zbl 1068.44001)]. Some special cases are mentioned.
