Suppose that \(\Sigma^*\) is a surface of genus \(g\) with \(s\) marked points such that \(2-2g-s<0\). Then the deformation space of globally hyperbolic Cauchy-maximal \(\mathbb E^{1,2}_0\)-manifolds homeomorphic to \(\Sigma\times\mathbb R\) with exactly \(s\) marked singular lines can be identified with the tangent bundle of the Teichmüller space of \(\Sigma^*\). The strategy of the proof is to consider the map Hol\(\circ\)Reg that associates to a globally hyperbolic Cauchy-maximal and Cauchy-complete \(\mathbb E^{1,2}_0\)-manifold the holonomy of its regular part by constructing an inverse to this map. Much of the work can be undertaken in the context of \(\mathbb E^{1,2}_{\ge0}\)-manifolds and general metrisable surfaces.
