The authors consider a one dimensional initial-boundary value problem for a pseudo-parabolic equation involving time independent delay in second spatial derivative. They establish a three layer difference scheme on uniform meshes (both in time and space) and analyze its convergence under the assumption that the exact solution is smooth. It is shown that the error, between the exact solution and the approximate finite difference solution, is of order two in time and four in space in a discrete energy norm. Some numerical tests are presented to support the theoretical results. The article is interesting and deserves to be read.
