The author makes a contribution to the growing area of representation stability and the representation theory of combinatorial categories. Arguably the most famous one here is the category \(\mathbf{FI}\), that of finite sets and injections. In their foundational work \textit{T. Church} et al. [Duke Math. J. 164, No. 9, 1833--1910 (2015; Zbl 1339.55004)] considered the representation theory of \(\mathbf{FI}\), and established a variety of results in topology, geometry, and algebraic combinatorics. These modules can be thought of as a sequence of symmetric group representations with some compatibility condition. The author introduces a combinatorial category called \(\mathscr{H}\). Much like how \(\mathbf{FI}\) encoded the various symmetric groups, the category \(\mathscr{H}\) encodes the \(0\)-Hecke algebras \(H_n(0)\). The latter object is a specialization of a well-studied \(q\)-deformation of the group algebra of the symmetric group, obtained by setting \(q=0\). Its intimate link with algebraic combinatorics was brought forth by \textit{T. Church} et al. [Duke Math. J. 164, No. 9, 1833--1910 (2015; Zbl 1339.55004)] where simple \(H_n(0)\)-modules were shown to correspond to Gessel's fundamental quasisymmetric functions via a \emph{quasisymmetric characteristic} map. Investigating naturally-arising quasisymmetric functions from the perspective of the representation theory of \(H_n(0)\) has been an active area of research in recent years. The author shows that \begin{itemize} \item[1.] \(\mathscr{H}\)-modules satisfy a Noetherian property similar to \(\mathbf{FI}\)-modules. \item[2.] The \(K\)-theory of \(\mathscr{H}\)-modules is spanned by classes of modules that admit a flavour of representation stability akin to \(\mathbf{FI}\)-modules. \end{itemize} The author demonstrates a host of applications ranging from cohomology of certain groups over finite fields to the Stanley-Reisner rings of the Boolean algebra.
