The authors prove that the group of isometries of an ultrametric normed space can be regarded as a kind of a fractal and then study ultrametric counterparts of some classical problems in Archimedean analysis, such as the so called Mazur rotations problem or Tingley's problem. They show that in contrast with the case of real normed spaces, the only ultrametric normed spaces possessing a Mazur-Ulam-like property are the trivial examples, whose bijections are always affine, namely, the one-dimensional normed spaces over \(\mathbb{Z}\slash 2\mathbb{Z}\) or \(\mathbb{Z}\slash 3\mathbb{Z}\), and the two-dimensional normed spaces over \(\mathbb{Z}\slash 2\mathbb{Z}\); see also the paper [\textit{J. Cabello Sánchez} and \textit{J. Navarro Garmendia}, Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 207, Article ID 112304, 2 p. (2021; Zbl 1472.46078)] of the same authors.
