Nef cones of some Quot schemes on a smooth projective curve (Q2234116)

In this paper, the nef cone of a smooth projective variety \(X\) is considered: it is the cone of all \(\mathbb{R}\)- divisors on \(X\) whose intersection product with any curve in \(X\) is non-negative. The nef cone of certain varieties is already known. Here, the authors of this paper compute the nef cone of the Quot scheme on a smooth projective curve \(C\) and the vector bundle \(\mathcal{O}^n_C\) parameterizing torsion quotients of this bundle of degree \(d\). A main result is the complete description of the nef cone of the Quot scheme for elliptic curves. Then, if \(C\) is very general and \(d=2\), another result is the computation of the nef cone in terms of the nef cone of the second symmetric product of \(C\). If \(n\ge d\) some bounds are also obtained and, finally, the authors give a necessary and sufficient condition for a divisor on the Quot scheme to be nef.
