The interesting paper under review deals with the strong unique continuation property for the Lamé system in a planar domain \(\Omega\) containg the origin. Precisely, the displacement of equilibrium is given by the isotropic elasticity equation \[ \text{div}\, \left(\mu\left(\nabla u+(\nabla u)^t\right)\right)+\nabla \big(\lambda \text{div}\, u\big)=0\quad \text{in}\ \Omega, \] where \(u=(u_1,u_2)^t\) is the real-valued displacement vector and \((\nabla u)_{jk}=\partial_k u_j\) for \(j,k=1,2.\) The main contribution of the work is that the authors consider low regularity Lamé coefficients \(\mu\in W^{2,s}(\Omega)\) with \(s>4/3,\) \(\lambda\in L^\infty(\Omega),\) \(\mu(x)\geq\delta_0\) and \(\lambda(x)+2\mu(x)\geq\delta_0.\)
