Let \(R\) be a commutative noetherian ring. A subcategory \(\mathcal{S}\) of \(R\)-modules is said to be Serre if given any short exact sequence \[0 \rightarrow M' \rightarrow M \rightarrow M'' \rightarrow 0\] of \(R\)-modules, the condition \(M\in \mathcal{S}\) is equivalent to the condition \(M',M'' \in \mathcal{S}\). Moreover, given an ideal \(\mathfrak{a}\) of \(R\), a Serre subcategory \(\mathcal{S}\) is said to satisfy the Melkersson condition \(\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{a}}\) if given any \(\mathfrak{a}\)-torsion \(R\)-module \(M\), the condition \((0:_{M}\mathfrak{a})\in \mathcal{S}\) implies that \(M\in \mathcal{S}\). Also, set \[\mathcal{P}(\mathcal{S}):= \{\mathfrak{p}\in \mathrm{Spec}(R) \text{ such that }\mathcal{S} \textrm{ satisfies the Melkersson Condition } \mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{p}}\}.\] This paper investigates the structure of the set \(\mathcal{P}(\mathcal{S})\) for a given Serre subcategory \(\mathcal{S}\) of \(R\)-modules. The author calculates the members of this set for a subcategory consisting of extension modules in two given Serre subcategories. Furthermore, he classifies the structure of \(\mathcal{P}(\mathcal{S})\) over rings with small Krull dimensions.
