Let a bounded domain in \(\mathbb R^d\) (\(d = 2\) or \(3\)) consists of two parts \(\Omega_f\) and \(\Omega_p\). The non-stationary Navier-Stokes equations are considered in \(\Omega_f\) and the Darcy equation in \(\Omega_p\). The interface conditions including the conservation of mass, the balance of forces, and the Beavers-Joseph-Saffman conditions are imposed on the joint boundary of \(\Omega_f\) and \(\Omega_p\). The standard initial and boundary conditions are given on the rest part of boundary. The authors develop a Stabilized Crank-Nicolson LeapFrog (SCNLF) method for the this problem. The spatial discretization by stabilized finite element method and the temporal discretization by CNLF method give a second-order partitioned method. Stability and error estimate of the numerical method are given. Numerical tests are presented to justify the theoretical analysis.
