The tautological ring of the moduli space of stable curves contains natural characteristic classes and is closed under forgetful morphisms and boundary morphisms. This paper extends the theory to the Hurwitz space of branched covers via the admissible G-cover compactification, which is called the \(\mathcal H\)-tautological ring. The author gives additive generators for the \(\mathcal H\)-tautological ring and shows that their intersections can be algorithmically computed. As an application, the author computes intersections of the Hurwitz space of admissible covers against tautological classes of complementary dimension.
