A partition of a non-negative integer $n$ is a non-increasing sequence of positive integers whose sum is $n$. Let $pod(n)$ denote the number of partitions of $n$ in which odd parts are distinct (and even parts are unrestricted). Using modular forms, several congruence properties for $pod(n)$ have been established. Recently [\textit{D. S. Gireesh} et al., Ramanujan J. 44, No. 1, 227--236 (2017; Zbl 1423.11176)], a restricted version of $pod(n)$ in which none of the parts is divisible by 3, i.e., 3-regular partitions has been considered. Let $pod_3(n)$ denote the number of 3-regular partitions of $n$ with distinct odd parts (and even parts are unrestricted). For example, $pod_3(6) = 3$, where the relevant partitions are $5+1, 4+2, 2+2+2$. Also, several congruence relations for $pod_3(n)$ have been established. Moreover, the arithmetic properties of $pod_3(n)$ have been analyzed and infinite families of congruences modulo 2 and 3 have been found. In that paper, an infinite family of congruences for $pod_3(n)$ using the theory of Hecke eigenforms were proved. Then, the divisibility properties of $pod_3(n)$ using arithmetic properties of modular forms were studied. The objective of this paper is to study the divisibility properties of the function $pod_3(n)$ using modular forms and the theory of Hecke eigenforms.
