Summary: A graph \(G\) is called cycle books \(B\left[ \left(4, m\right), 2\right]\) if \(G\) consists of \(m\) cycles \(C_4\) with a common path \(P_2\). \textit{R. M. Figueroa-Centeno} et al. [Discrete Math. 231, No. 1--3, 153--168 (2001; Zbl 0977.05120)] conjecture that the graph \(B\left[ \left(4, m\right), 2\right]\) is super edge-magic total if and only if \(m\) is even or \(m\equiv 5\pmod 8\). In this article, we prove this conjecture for \(m \geq 36\) and \(m = 0\pmod 2\).
