Hesitant fuzzy sets are fuzzy sets of type 2 with membership degrees which are crisp subsets of the real unit interval, and hence they form a slight generalization of interval-valued fuzzy sets. The book discusses applications of this type of fuzzy sets assuming that real-world problems are described by information determined through hesitant fuzzy sets. Chapter 1 considers aggregation operators in this context. Chapter 2 is devoted to topics like similarity, entropy, and clustering algorithms. Chapter 3 discusses preference relations and group decision making. Chapter 4 finally is devoted to multi-attribute decision making models. The book title is misleading as the book is solely devoted to applications. And the typographical realization astonishes and annoys the reader by the fact that throughout the book letters and numbers have different sizes depending on whether they appear inside the running text or inside formulas.
