    The authors prove a second Korn type inequality considering mixed growth conditions. Their main result says that if \(u\in W^{1,1}(\Omega ;\mathbb{R} ^{n})\), where \(\Omega \) is a bounded and connected domain with Lipschitz boundary, is such that \(\mathrm{dist}(Du, \mathrm{SO}(n))=f+g\), a.e. in \(\Omega \), with \(f\in L^{p}(\Omega )\) and \(g\in L^{q}(\Omega )\), \(1<p<q<+\infty \), there exists \( F\in L^{p}(\Omega ;\mathbb{R}^{n\times n})\), \(G\in L^{q}(\Omega ;\mathbb{R} ^{n\times n})\) and a proper rotation \(Q\in \mathrm{SO}(n)\) such that \(Du=Q+F+G\) a.e. in \(\Omega \) with \(\left\| F\right\| _{L^{p}(\Omega ;\mathbb{R} ^{n\times n})}\leq c\left\| f\right\| _{L^{p}(\Omega )}\) and \( \left\| G\right\| _{L^{q}(\Omega ;\mathbb{R}^{n\times n})}\leq c\left\| g\right\| _{L^{q}(\Omega )}\) for a constant \(c\) independent of \(u,f,g\). For the proof, the authors first establish a quite similar result assuming that the linear deformation tensor \(E(u)=\frac{1}{2} (Du+Du^{T})=f+g\) a.e. in \(\Omega \). They here prove that \(Du=S+F+G\) a.e. in \( \Omega \), where \(S\) is a skew symmetric matrix in \(\mathbb{R}^{n\times n}\). This is done using a representation of \(\Delta u\) in terms of \(E(u)\) in the distributional sense, the fundamental solution of the Laplace operator \( -\Delta \) and a finite covering of \(\overline{\Omega }\). For the proof of the main result, the authors first prove a Lipschitz regularity property of a function \(u\in W^{1,1}(\Omega ;\mathbb{R}^{n})\) on a subdomain of \(\Omega \) . They also use the result obtained in the above-described special case. The last part of the paper is devoted to the description of possible applications of this Korn inequality, first establishing a geometric rigidity result in the Lorentz space \(L^{p,q}\) for \(p\in (1,\infty )\) and \(q\in [ 1,\infty ]\), then an equiintegrability result concerning \(\eta _{k}(Du_{k}-Q_{k})\), for some rotations \(Q_{k}\in \mathrm{SO}(n)\), assuming that the quantities \(\eta _{k}\mathrm{dist}(Du_{k}, \mathrm{SO}(n))\) are \(L^{p}\)-equiintegrable for positive \(\eta _{k}\) and functions \(u_{k}\in W^{1,p}(\Omega ;\mathbb{R}^{n})\). The authors conclude proving an extension of their main result writing \( E(u)=\sum_{\alpha =1}^{N}f_{\alpha }\) with \(f_{\alpha }\in L^{p_{\alpha }}(\Omega ;\mathbb{R}^{n\times n})\) where \(1<p_{1}<\cdots <p_{N}<+\infty \).
