The Langlands conjecture predicts certain properties of automorphic representations of connected reductive groups. In the case of definite unitary groups, \textit{G. Chenevier} [Duke Math. J. 126, No. 1, 161--194 (2005; Zbl 1070.11016)] studied \(p\)-adic automorphic forms which interpolate classical automorphic forms. Such \(p\)-adic automorphic forms can be parameterized by a \(p\)-adic rigid analytic space known as the eigenvariety. In this paper the author extends the notion of Langlands functoriality for definite unitary groups to the setting of eigenvarieties. He also applies some results of Chenevier to obtain certain cases of \(p\)-adic Langlands functoriality by interpolating known cases of classical Langlands functoriality.
