The internal diffusion limited aggregation model was introduced by \textit{P. Diaconis} and \textit{W. Fulton} in [Rend. Semin. Mat., Torino 49, No. 1, 95--119 (1991; Zbl 0776.60128)]. The result of that paper gives a protocol for building a random set recursively. More precisely, at each step, the first vertex, visited outside the cluster by a random walk started at the origin, is added to the cluster. All previous results concerning the limiting shape of the random walk were proved in the framework of simple random walks or at most drifted random walks in one-dimensional case. In the present paper the author establishes a limiting shape result for a simple class of drifted multidimensional random walks. The limiting shape of the normalized cluster is characterized as a true heat ball, and it gives rise to a mean value property for caloric functions. The existence of such a bounded shape is an open problem in partial differential equations theory, for which the convergence result of the present paper provides a proof inherited from the field of random walks.
