This paper is devoted to the inverse Galois problem with restricted ramification. For \(p\) an odd prime, let \(E\) denote the non-abelian group of order \(p^3\) and exponent \(p\). Let \(q\) be an odd prime such that \(p \equiv 1 \pmod{q}\) and let \(k/\mathbb{Q}\) be a cyclic extension of degree \(q\). The author gives a sufficient condition in terms of the ideal class group of \(k\) for the existence of an unramified Galois extension \(L/k\) with Galois group isomorphic to \(E\). Several examples computed with PARI are provided.
