A formation \(\mathfrak F\) of finite groups is said to be \textit{superradical} if it is closed under taking subnormal subgroups and contains any subgroup which is the product of two subnormal \(\mathfrak F\)-subgroups. In 1999, L. A. Shemetkov proposed the problem of finding all superradical formations of finite groups. Recall that a group \(G\) is called \textit{\(\mathfrak F\)-critical} if it is not an \(\mathfrak F\)-group but all its proper subgroups belong to \(\mathfrak F\); it is clear that the behavior of critical \(\mathfrak F\)-groups is relevant in the study of a superradical formation \(\mathfrak F\). The paper under review is a new interesting contribution to the solution of Shemetkov's problem, providing a new description of critical \(\mathfrak F\)-groups in the boundary of \(\mathfrak F\), i.e. in the class of all finite groups \(G\notin\mathfrak F\) such that \(G/N\) is an \(\mathfrak F\)-group for each non-trivial normal subgroup \(N\) of \(G\).
