The textbook is an introduction to differential geometry. It is available for a relatively wide audience, as it requires a solid background only from single variable calculus and some routine experience mainly from linear algebra. The introductory part of the book (Euclidean space) summarizes the basic knowledge from calculus, linear algebra and topology necessary for further study. The second section (Differentiation) covers derivatives and their properties, and also integrals, elements of curves, spectral theorem, vector fields or Lie brackets. More advanced topics are included in the third section (Manifolds) -- differentiable maps, vector fields on manifolds, Lie groups, geodesics or curvatures. The section ``Integration on Euclidean space'' is devoted to Fubini's theorem, Sard's theorem, methods of variable change and some applications. The fifth section (Differential forms) includes topics on tensor fields, integration on manifolds and Stokes theorem. The chapter ``Manifolds as metric spaces'' studies extremal properties of geodesics, Jacobi fields and the Hopf-Rinow theorem. More advanced topics are studied in the last section (Hypersurfaces), like the Gauss map, curvatures or ruled surfaces. A valuable feature of the textbook are the sets of exercises following each section. They range from routine to rather theoretical, developing the results from the particular chapter.
