The article deals with elementary properties of spaces that are ``metrizable'' by a \(K\)-metric (metric with values in Riesz space). For such spaces, the notions of convergence and Cauchy sequences, the completeness property, some notions of closed sets, the equivalence of \(K\)-metrics and others are considered. Further, the author analyzes two definitions of the continuity for functions between such spaces (the analogues of the usual Cauchy \(\varepsilon\)-\(\delta\) and Heine sequential definitions) and Lipschitz-like conditions for these functions. The case when the image-space itself is a Riesz space is considered separately.
