In the paper under review the following result is proven. Let \(m_1\) and \(m_2\) be Minkowski functionals of bounded balanced domains in \(\mathbb C^m\) and let \(U\) be a domain in \(\mathbb C^k\), \(k\geq m\). Let \(f,g:U\longrightarrow\mathbb C^m\) be holomorphic such that \(f(a)=g(a)=0\) and \(f\) and \(g\) are open in a neighborhood of some \(a\in U\). Let \(q\in\mathbb R\) and assume that \(m_1\circ f=(m_2\circ g)^q\) on some neighborhood \(V\subset U\) of \(a\). Then \quad (i)\;\; \;\(q\) is a positive rational number, \quad (ii) \; \(m_1\circ f=(m_2\circ g)^q\) on \(U\), \quad (iii) there is a \(p\in\mathbb N\) and there are homogeneous polynomials \(\xi_k\) of degree \(kq\), \(k=1,\dots,p\), \qquad\quad (if \(kq\notin\mathbb N\), then \(\xi_k\equiv0\), moreover, \(\xi_0:\equiv0\)) such that \(\sum_{j=0}^pf^j\cdot(\xi_{p-j}\circ g)=0\) on \(U\). Here, for \(z,w\in\mathbb C^n\) we understand \(z\cdot w:=(z_1w_1,\dots,z_nw_n)\), for \(k\in\mathbb N\) we have \(z^k:=z\cdot\dots\cdot z\). The above theorem allows to generalize and simplify the proof of the main theorem proved by \textit{F. Berteloot} and \textit{G. Patrizio} [Adv. Math. 153, No.2, 342--352 (2000; Zbl 0962.32020)].
