    In this paper, the authors consider the following almost critical problem \[ -\Delta_g u + \frac{N-2}{4(N-1)}{\operatorname{Scal}}_g u= \kappa u^{2^\ast-1+\varepsilon} \quad \text{ in } M, \quad u>0 \quad \text{ in } M, \tag{1} \] where \((M, g)\) is a smooth, compact Riemannian \(N\)-manifold with \(N\geq 3.\) \(\Delta_g:= {\operatorname{div}}_g \nabla\) is the Laplace-Beltrami operator, \({\operatorname{Scal}}_g\) is the scalar curvature of \((M, g),\; \kappa \in \mathbb{R}, \varepsilon \in \mathbb{R}\) is a small parameter and \(2^\ast=\frac{2N}{N-2}\) is the critical exponent for the embedding of the Riemannian Sobolev space \(H^1_g(M)\) into Lebesgue space \(L^{2^\ast}_g(M)\). The authors study the case when the manifold \((M, g)\) has positive Yamabe invariant, i.e. \(\Upsilon_g(M)>0,\) and the problem \((1)\) is almost critical, i.e. \(\varepsilon > 0\) is small. They prove the existence of blowing-up solution to \((1)\) as \(\varepsilon \rightarrow 0.\)
