Summary: The first author and \textit{B. E. Rhoades} [Int. J. Math. Game Theory Algebra 9, No. 4, 259--268 (1999; Zbl 0958.42001); J. Comput. Anal. Appl. 2, No. 1, 1--10 (2000; Zbl 0945.42001)] and the first author et al. [Appl. Math. Comput. 217, No. 9, 4483--4489 (2011; Zbl 1213.42006)] have initiated a study of error estimates \(E_n(f)\) through trigonometric-Fourier approximation (tfa) for the situations in which the summability matrix \(T\) does not have monotone rows. In this paper, the first author continues the work in the direction for \(T\) to be an \(N_p\)-matrix. We extend two theorems on the summability matrix \(N_p\) of \textit{U. De\~ger} et al. [Proc. Jangjeon Math. Soc. 15, No. 2, 203--213 (2012; Zbl 1254.42003)], where they have extended two theorems of \textit{P. Chandra} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 275, No. 1, 13--26 (2002; Zbl 1011.42001)] using the \(C_{\lambda}\)-method obtained by deleting a set of rows from the Cesàro matrix \(C_1\). Our theorems also generalize two theorems of \textit{L. Leindler} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 302, No. 1, 129--136 (2005; Zbl 1057.42004)] to the \(N_p\)-matrix, which in turn generalize the results of Chandra [loc. cit.] and \textit{E. S. Quade} [Duke Math. J. 3, 529--543 (1937; Zbl 0017.20501)].
