Let \(T\) be a well generated tensor (denoted by \(\wedge )\) triangulated category. The collection of all \(X\)-acyclic objects of \(T\) is called the Bousfield class of \(X\). The collections of Bousfield classes of \(T\) form a complete lattice, denoted by \(\mathrm{BL}(T)\), as shown by \textit{S. B. Iyengar} and \textit{H. Krause} [Math. Z. 273, No. 3--4, 1215--1241 (2013; Zbl 1328.18017)]. Let \(Z\) be an element of \(T\), the author studies the relationship between \(\mathrm{BL}(T)\) and \(\mathrm{BL}(T/\langle Z\rangle)\), where \(T/\langle Z\rangle\) is the Verdier quotient. In Section 4, given a homomorphism of rings \(f:R\to S\) with \(f_\bullet\) and \(f^\bullet\) the morphisms between the derived categories, morphisms between the lattices of Bousfield classes of \(D(R)\) and \(D(S)\) are induced. Moreover, an isomorphism between \(\mathrm{BL}(D(R)/\langle f^\bullet S\rangle)\) and \(\mathrm{BL}(D(S))\) is obtained when \(f_\bullet f^\bullet \langle X\rangle=\langle X\rangle\) for all \(X\). Let \(\Lambda_k=k[x_1,x_2,x_3, \ldots ]/(x_1^{n_1},x_2^{n_2},x_3^{n_3},\ldots)\) a truncated polynomial ring on countably many generators with deg of \(x_i=2^i\) for all \(i\), \textit{W. G. Dwyer} and \textit{J. H. Palmieri} [Homology Homotopy Appl. 10, No. 1, 413--436 (2008; Zbl 1161.18005)] studied \(\mathrm{BL}(D(\Lambda_k))\) where \(D(\Lambda_k)\) is the unbounded category of of right graded \(\Lambda_k\)-modules and \(k\) is a countable field. In the last section, the author extends these results to the case \(k={\mathbb Z}_{(p)}\). Let \(g:\Lambda_{{\mathbb Z}_{(p)}}\to \Lambda_{{\mathbb F}_p}\) the projection and let \(h:\Lambda_{{\mathbb Z}_{(p)}}\to \Lambda_{\mathbb Q}\) the inclusion, the functors \(g_\bullet\) and \(h_\bullet\) induce lattice isomorphisms between \(\mathrm{BL}(\Lambda_{{\mathbb Z}_{(p)}})\) and \(\mathrm{BL}(\Lambda_{{\mathbb F}_p})\times \mathrm{BL}(\mathrm{loc}(h^\bullet \Lambda_{\mathbb Q}))\), where \(\mathrm{loc}(X)\) denotes the smallest localizing subcategory containing \(X\), thus the cardinality of \(\mathrm{BL}(\Lambda_{{\mathbb Z}_{(p)}})\) is \(2^{2^{\aleph_0}}\). Similar lattice isomorphisms are obtained for \(\mathrm{DL}=\{ \langle X\rangle\in \mathrm{BL}\) with \(\langle X\rangle=\langle X\wedge X\rangle \}\) and BA, the collection of Bousfield classes in DL that are complemented and have a complement in DL.
