      The authors study the Schrödinger-Poisson system \[ \begin{aligned} -\Delta u+u+l(x)\phi u&=k(x)| u|^2u+\lambda h(x)u,\quad x\in \mathbb R^3,\\ -\Delta \phi &=l(x)u^2 ,\quad x\in \mathbb R^3 \end{aligned} \] where the potential \(k(x)\) allows sign changing. Results on the existence and multiplicity of solutions are derived which complement results published in [\textit{L. Huang} et al., J. Differ. Equations 255, No. 8, 2463--2483 (2013; Zbl 1284.35152)].
