Motivated by the work of \textit{N. Hussain} et al. [J. Inequal. Appl. 2013, Article ID 114, 11 p. (2013; Zbl 1293.54023)] and \textit{P. Salimi} et al. [Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2013, Article ID 151, 19 p. (2013; Zbl 1293.54036)], the authors obtain some results on the existence of fixed points in the setting of metric space endowed with a partial order.
