Almost compactness in fuzzy topological spaces (Q2266247)

The main result of this paper says that the fuzzy almost continuous image of an almost compact fuzzy topological space is almost compact [see also \textit{K. K. Azad}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 82, 14-32 (1981; Zbl 0511.54006)] for generalizations of other results of the ordinary topology. Concerning products the author proves that in contrast with the topological case almost compactness of fuzzy spaces is not productive. In a particular finite case a positive result is proved: if X and Y are almost compact fuzzy spaces and X is product related to Y, then the fuzzy topological product of X and Y is almost compact.
