On quasifields (Q2266439)

The author describes some subsets of \(GL(n,q^ n)\), to long to state here explicitely. He proves that there is a bijection between these subsets and the set of quasifields whose additive group is \(GF(q^ n)\). In this setting he describes the familar quasifields: Finite fields, generalized André quasifields, Dickson nearfields, Hall quasifields, Walker quasifields and Lüneburg quasifields. Moreover using these subsets he proves a theorem due to M. Hall, that there are exactly 9 quasifields of order nine.
