On infinite Goldie dimension of modular lattices and modules (Q2266761)

In a previous paper [ibid. 31, 47-54 (1984; Zbl 0528.16010)] the authors definded the Goldie dimension and the dual Goldie dimension of a modular lattice, and established some results concerning only finite dimensions. The purpose of this paper is to define also an infinite Goldie dimension of an arbitrary modular lattice with 0. A criterion of existence of this dimension is given. Then, the results obtained in the general setting of modular lattices are applied to rings and modules.
