It is considered the system \[ i\dot{\psi}_n = V_n\psi_n - \varepsilon(\psi_{n+1} + \psi_{n-1})- |\psi_n|^2\psi_n\;,\;n=1,\ldots,M \] where \(V_n=V_1\) for odd \(n\) and \(V_n=\gamma V_1\) for even \(n\), \(\gamma\geq 1\). These are the equations of motion for the Hamiltonian \[ H = \sum_n[V_n|\psi_n|^2 - \varepsilon(\psi_n\psi^*_{n-1} + \psi_n^*\psi_{n-1})- {{1}\over{2}}|\psi_n|^4]\;,\;\psi_0=\psi_M\;,\;\psi_{M+1}=\psi_1 \] There are considered stationary solutions of the form \[ \psi_n(t) = \varphi_n^{(\omega)}e^{-i\omega t} \] where the amplitudes \(\varphi_n^{(\omega)}\) are real valued. It is studied the linear stability of a solution having the form above, also bifurcations. Several numerical experiments are presented.
