The main result is the evaluation of the \(q\)-integral \[ \int_{-\infty}^{\infty} \frac{(a\omega,b\omega;q)_\infty(s\omega;q)_n(t\omega;q)_m}{(-d\omega,e\omega;q)_\infty}\,d_q\omega \] as an infinite product multiplied by a double terminating \(q\)-series. An important ingredient in the proof is the case \(m=n=0\), which is the integral of the title (due to Askey). Three applications of the main theorem are given. As an example we cite Theorem 4.3, \[ \sum_k \frac{(q^{-n},aq^m,b;q)_k q^{k(1-m)}} {(q,c,d;q)_k}\sum_j \frac{(aq^{k-n}, bq^k,q^{-m};q)_jq^j} {(q,cq^k,dq^k;q)_j} = \sum_j \frac{(a,b,q^{-m-n};q)_jq^j}{(q,c,d;q)_j}. \]
