Let \((u_n)_{n\geq 0}\) be a sequence of integers satisying the recurrence \[ u_{n+2}=ru_{n+1}+su_n,n\geq 0, \] where \(r,s\) are fixed integers with \(rs(r^2+4s)\neq 0\). Suppose that \(s=\pm 1\). The authors prove that the closure of the set \(\{u_n:n\geq 0\}\) in the Fürstenberg topology is the set \(\{u_n:n\in{\mathbb Z}\} \), where for \(n<0\) the element \(u_n\) is defined by the recurrence above. This generalizes the result for the case \(u_n=F_n\), the Fibonacci sequence.
