Topology of compact space forms from Platonic solids. II. (Q2268846)

In a previous paper [Topology Appl. 156, No.~4, 812--822 (2009; Zbl 1165.57014)], the authors investigated the topology of closed orientable 3-manifolds that arise as compact space forms by identifying the faces of a Platonic solid in the spherical and Euclidean cases, and they completely classified these 3-manifolds up to homeomorphism. In this paper, the authors investigate and describe many topological properties of closed hyperbolic 3-manifolds arising from Platonic solids; they use geometrical and topological methods to distinguish such hyperbolic manifolds with the same homology, which was only known by algebraic and combinatorial methods up to this point.
