There is no general classification of Weierstrass points on modular curves \(X_0 (N)\). Even the question under which conditions the cusp \(\infty\) is Weierstrass is difficult and unsolved, although there are some partial results due to \textit{A. O. L. Atkin} [Ann. Math. (2) 85, 42--45 (1967; Zbl 0145.31904)] and \textit{A.~Ogg} [Ill. J. Math. 22, 31--35 (1978; Zbl 0374.14005)]. The cusp \(\infty\) being a Weierstrass point is equivalent with the existence of a cusp form \(f\) of weight 2 with vanishing order strictly larger than the genus of \(X_0(N)\). Under very specific circumstances (\(N = p\cdot \ell\) with two different primes \(p, \ell\) satisfying certain congruence conditions), the author is able to exclude some possibilities for such \(f\); e.g., \(f\) cannot be a newform. The proof, generalizing a method introduced by Kohnen, exploits \(p\)-adic properties of modular forms.
