The authors compute the eta invariants of twisted Dirac operators acting on twisted spin bundles on a compact Riemannian manifold whose holonomy group is \(\mathbb{Z}_p\) for an odd prime \(p\). Consider such an \(n\)-dimensional Riemannian manifold \(M\). Let \(\varepsilon\) be a spin structure on \(M\). For \(0\leq l \leq p-1\), let \(D_l\) be the spin Dirac operator twisted by a character \(\rho_l\) of \(\mathbb{Z}_p\). Let \(\{\lambda_i\}\) be the set of eigenvalues of \(D_l\). The eta function \(\eta_l(s)\) is the meromorphic extension of the series \(\sum_{\lambda_i\neq 0}\text{sign}(\lambda_i)|\lambda_i|^{-s}\) to \(\mathbb{C}.\) Using the information of the spectrum in [\textit{R. J. Miatello} and \textit{R. A. Podestá}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 358, No.~10, 4569--4603 (2006; Zbl 1094.58014)], the authors obtain explicit expressions for \(\eta_l(s)\) in terms of the Hurwitz zeta function. Consider the reduced eta invariant \(\widetilde{\eta}_l=\eta_l(0)+\dim(\text{ker\,} D_l).\) Then \(\widetilde{\eta}_l\) is always an integer unless \(p=n=3\), and, in this case, \(\widetilde{\eta}_l\) is the sum of \(\frac 23\) and an integer. Then, the authors use these results to discuss the equivariant \(\mathbb{Z}_p\) spin bordism groups. Let \((M,\varepsilon,\sigma_p)\) and \((M,\varepsilon,\sigma_0)\) denote a Riemannan manifold \(M\) with \(\mathbb{Z}_p\) holonomy group equipped with a spin structure \(\varepsilon\) together with the canonical and the trivial equivariant \(\mathbb{Z}_p\)-structures \(\sigma_p\) and \(\sigma_0\), respectively. Then, \([(M,\varepsilon,\sigma_p)] = [(M,\varepsilon,\sigma_{0})]\) in the reduced equivariant \(\mathbb{Z}_p\) spin bordism group.
