Let \(D\) be a domain in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). \(D\) is said to be a Sobolev \(W^k\) extension domain if there exists a continuous linear extension operator \(e_D: W^k_p(D)\to W^k_p(\mathbb{R}^n)\); otherwise stated, if every \(f\in W^p_p(D)\) can be extended to a \(F\in W^k_p(\mathbb{R}^n)\) in a linear and continuous way. It is known that Lipschitz domains have this property for every \(p\in (1,\infty)\) and every \(k= 0,1,2,\dots\). A sufficient condition for this property is given in terms of inner subhyperbolic metrics.
