      Let \(A = (M_A, N_A)\) be an intuitionistic fuzzy set over the universe \(X\) and \(\alpha \in (0, 1]\). Let \(T\) be a left-continuous triangular norm. Then the set \[ A_{T,\alpha} = \{ x : x \in X \;\& \;T(M_A(x),m 1 - N_A(x)) \geq \alpha \} \] is called \(T\)-based \(\alpha\)-cut of the intuitionistic fuzzy set \(A\). Some interesting properties of the \(T\)-based \(\alpha\)-cuts of intuitionistic fuzzy sets are formulated and proved.
