Let \(L\) be a completely valued nonarchimedean field. Let \(\mathfrak g\) be a finite-dimensional Lie algebra over~\(L\) and let \(U(\mathfrak g)\) be its enveloping algebra. The Hausdorff completion of \(U(\mathfrak g)\) with respect to a canonical family of seminorms is called the hyperenveloping algebra \(\mathfrak F(\mathfrak g)\) of~\(\mathfrak g\). The main result of the paper, Theorem~2.1 states that the natural homomorphism \(U(\mathfrak g)\to\mathfrak F(\mathfrak g)\) is stably flat and it induces a natural isomorphism of topological algebras between the Arens-Michael envelope \(\hat U(\mathfrak g)\) and \(\mathfrak F(\mathfrak g)\). Consequences are drawn for the Taylor relative cohomology of \(\mathfrak F(\mathfrak g)\).
