A note on the Poisson boundary of lamplighter random walks (Q2270145)

The main goal of the paper is to determine the Poisson boundary of lamplighter random walks over a general class of discrete groups \(\Gamma\) endowed with a ``rich'' boundary. For this the Strip Criterion of identification of the Poisson boundary for random walks on discrete groups is used, see [\textit{V. A. Kaimanovich}, Ann. Math. (2) 152, No. 3, 659--692 (2000; Zbl 0984.60088)]. The method developed in the paper is applied to several classes of base groups (groups with infinitely many ends, hyperbolic groups in the sense of Gromov, etc.).
