Survival and coexistence for a multitype contact process (Q2270603)

The authors study a multitype contact process on a countable set, which is either the multidimensional integer lattice or the homogeneous connected tree. The main attention is focused on the ergodic theory of the multitype contact process with equal death rates and unequal birth rates. It is proved that for birth rates in a certain interval there exists coexistence on the tree, which is not possible on the lattice. In addition, the authors prove a complete convergence result as the larger birth rate falls outside of this interval.
