A vector bundle \(\pi: {\mathcal E} \to X\) over a complex toric variety \(X\) is said to be toric if the torus of \(X\) acts of \({\mathcal E}\) linearly on the fibres and the morphism \(\pi\) is in fact equivariant with respect to this action. When \(X\) is nonsingular and complete, toric vector bundles are precisely described in combinatorial terms (see the Introduction of the paper under reveiww and references therein). This description allows the author to provide necessary and sufficient conditions for equivariant splitting of the tangent bundle of a nonsingular toric variety (see Prop. 2.1.4) and to give a complete description of the toric subbundles of a given toric vector bundle (see Prop. 4.1.1). Moreover, for a particular class of smooth projective toric varieties, the so called \textit{Bott towers}, some positivity properties of toric vector bundles on Bott towers are considered. A characterization of \(s\)-jet ampleness of line bundles is provided (see Thm. 3.1) from which a criterion for ampleness and nefness of line bundles is deduced (see Cor. 3.1.2). This, together with a nefness and bigness criterion for a line bundle on a smooth projective toric variety, give a characterization of nef and big line bundles on Bott towers in terms of their Bott numbers (see Thm 3.2.4). Consequently, Fano and weak Fano Bott towers are determined. Finally, for a discriminant zero semistable toric vector bundle to be ample, it is shown to be enough the ampleness of its determinant bundle (see Prop. 3.1.4).
