Let \(\mathbb{K}\) be a field of characteristic \(0\), let \(X\) be a simply connected finite CW complex and let \(Y_{\mathbb{Q}}\) denote the \(\mathbb{Q}\)-localized space of a simply connected space \(Y\) of finite \(\mathbb{Q}\)-type. Then for an operadic twisting morphism from a cooperad \(\mathcal{C}\) to an operad \(\mathcal{P}\) with a \(\mathcal{C}\)-coalgebra \(C\) and a \(\mathcal{P}\) algebra \(A\), let us consider the convolution algebra \(\Hom_{\mathbb{K}}(C,A)\) whose differential is given by \(\partial (f)=d_A\circ f-(-1)^{\vert f\vert}f\circ d_C\). When \(C\) is a \(C_{\infty}\)-coalgebra model for \(X\) and \(A\) is an \(L_{\infty}\)-model for the rational space \(Y_{\mathbb{Q}}\), one can show that the space \(\Hom_{\mathbb{K}}(C,A)\) of linear maps from \(C\) to \(A\) can be equipped with an \(L_{\infty}\)-structure such that it becomes a rational model for the based mapping space \(\mathrm{Map}_*(X,Y_{\mathcal{Q}})\) from \(X\) to \(Y_{\mathbb{Q}}\). In this paper, the author investigates the moduli space \(\mathcal{M}\mathcal{C}(X,Y)\) of Maurer-Cartan elements in the above \(L_{\infty}\)-algebra and defines the function \(mc_{\infty}:\mathrm{Map}_*(X,Y_{\mathbb{Q}})\to \mathcal{M}\mathcal{C}(X,Y).\) In particular, he shows that \(mc(f)=mc(g)\) iff \(f\simeq_{\mathbb{Q}} g\) for \(f,g\in \mathrm{Ma}_*(X,Y)\) and he succeeds in generalizing a result due to \textit{D.
