Sandwiched singularities are normal surface singularities which birationally dominate a non-singular surface. Any sandwiched surface singularity can be obtained by blowing up a complete \(\mathfrak{m}\)-primary ideal in a regular lcoal ring \((R, \mathfrak{m})\). The Picard group and the divisor class group of sandwiched singularities is determined. Let \(X\) be a sandwiched surface obtained by the blowing up of a complete \(\mathfrak{m}\)-primary ideal and \(C\) a curve on \(X\). Criteria are given for \(C\) to be locally principal at the singularities.
