Resolvent estimates for long range metric perturbations of the Euclidean Laplacian in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) \((n\geq 3)\) are obtained in this paper by using previous work by the authors concerning low frequency estimates. One of these results states that the estimate \[ \|[x]^{-a}(P- z)^{-1}[x]^{-b}\|\leq 1\quad\text{for all }z\in\mathbb{C}-\mathbb{R},\;|z|< 1 \] holds if \(a,b> 1/2\) and \(a+ b> 2\). The authors claim that this result is not far from optimal since it is false for the Euclidean Laplacian if \(n=3\) and \(a< 1/2\) or \(b\leq 1/2\) or \(a+ b< 2\). Related estimates are given for \(P\) and \(P^{1/2}\) as well.
