The author studies the geometry of a pair of regular hypersurfaces \(V,V'\) immersed into the \(n\)-dimensional metric projective space \(K_n\) which are in polar correspondence with respect to the absolute (= immovable hyperquadric) \(Q_{n-1}\) of \(K_n\): this means that the tangent hyperplane \(T'(T)\) at the moving point \(B\in V')\) \((A_0\in V)\) is the polar of the point \(A_0(B)\) with respect to \(Q_{n-1}\). Some of the numerous results are (shortly): \(V\) is a hyperquadric if and only if \(V'\) is a hyperquadric (Theorem 2); A. P. Norden's normalization of one of the polar hypersurfaces \(V\), or \(V'\), in \(K_n\) is equivalent to the normalization of the other hypersurface (Th. 3); the normalization of a hypersurface \(V'\) in \(K_n\) which is polar to a Fubini normalization of a given hypersurface \(V\), is a Fubini normalization, too -- by appropriate normal fields which are indicated (Th. 5).
