This is a continuation of the author's investigations to estimate from below the best approximation, in \(L_ p\), of differential operators with continuous coefficients, particularly those class of operators which occur in many physical problems [Math. Notes 46, No.1, 551-557 (1989); translation from Mat. Zametki 46, No.1, 78-87 (1989)]. This paper attempts to sharpen further the estimates both from above and below. The set of differential operators considered are polynomials in differentials with continuous coefficients and are elliptic multimonials in them of degree n.
