Dimension formulas for all \(r\geq 1\), and \(d=3r+1\) for almost all triangulations are given. The main result is: Let \(r\geq 0\), and suppose that \(\Delta\) is an arbitrary nondegenerate triangulation. Then dim \[ S^ r_{3r+1}(\Delta)=\left( \begin{matrix} 2r+2\\ 2\end{matrix} \right)V- 3\left( \begin{matrix} r+1\\ 2\end{matrix} \right)+\sum^{V_ I}_{i=1}\sum^{r}_{j=1}(r+j+1-je_ i)_+; \] \(V_ I=number\) of interior vertices and \(V=total\) number of vertices of a given triangulation \(\Delta\), \(e_ i=number\) of distinct slopes assumed by the edges emanating from vertex \(v_ i\).
