The so-called Benz planes are of three types: Minkowski, Laguerre, and Möbius. In the paper under review all planes are considered over finite fields F of prime order \(p>2\). For all three types the punctured circles (or ``cycles'') through some fixed point form the lines of a derived affine plane AG(2,p). The author exhibits generators for the respective collineation groups of these planes and the one point stabilizers. He than goes on to show how the collineation group of AG(2,p) may be obtained from each of these one point stabilizers.
