A remark of representable positive cylindric algebras (Q2276955)

If one considers all of the usual cylindric operations except for complementation, one naturally defines a positive cylindric set algebra, and the class \(RCA^+_{\alpha}\) of representable positive cylindric algebras. The author shows that \(RCA^+_{\alpha}\) is a universal class for all \(\alpha\), and is not axiomatizable by a finite scheme for all \(\alpha\geq 3\). The proof of the second result is based on the fact that the complement of the ordinary class of representable cylindric algebras is not closed under ultraproducts.
